Your flights, found for you. Your email stays on your phone.

Connecting Gmail is optional. If you do, BumpCast looks for your upcoming flight bookings and adds them, so you don't have to type flight numbers.

How it works

In the app, go to Add flight, tap Add from your email, then Connect Gmail. (Or Settings → Email.) It's part of BumpCast Pro.
Google asks you to sign in and to let BumpCast read your email. BumpCast never sees your password.
On your iPhone, BumpCast searches only for likely flight bookings, such as airline and travel-agency confirmations and itineraries from the past year.
From each booking it picks out the flight number, date and airports. It checks each flight exists and adds it to your flights, then shows you what it added. Remove any one with a tap and it won't come back.
When you open the app, or when iOS lets it refresh in the background, it checks for new bookings, changes and cancellations. A rebooked flight is updated in place, and a cancelled one is marked cancelled, each with Undo.

Bookings it can't match to a single flight are listed under Needs you, so you can add them yourself. Nothing is dropped silently.

What leaves your phone

Data	Where it goes
Your emails, including subjects, bodies and attachments	Nowhere. They're read on your iPhone and never sent to BumpCast's servers or anyone else.
Your email sign-in (access token)	Kept in your iPhone's Keychain. It's used only to talk to Google or Microsoft directly.
Your email address	Kept on your iPhone, to show which account is connected.
Flight number, date and airports from a booking	Sent to BumpCast's servers to find the flight and forecast it, the same as a flight you type in.
Names, booking references, addresses, loyalty and payment details	Ignored. Never saved or sent.

Permissions BumpCast asks for

Gmail: gmail.readonly, to read booking emails, and your basic profile email, to show which account is connected.
Outlook / Microsoft 365 (coming later): Mail.Read and offline_access, to read booking emails and keep checking for new ones, plus your basic profile, to show which account is connected.

BumpCast never sends, deletes, moves or labels email, and never changes your settings.

Limited Use

BumpCast's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In practice, email data is used only to find and add your flights. It isn't used for advertising, isn't sold, isn't read by people and isn't used to train AI models.

Turn it off

In the app: Settings → Email → Disconnect. This removes access and deletes the sign-in from your phone. Flights already added stay until you delete them.
Or from your account: Google Account → Third-party connections, or Microsoft account → Apps with access.
Deleting the app also deletes the sign-in.
